At Sanctuary Retreats, they value the beauty of the natural world and everything in it. They maintain a strong commitment to their philosophy of ‘Luxury, naturally’, striving to create safaris of ultimate indulgence with consciousness towards environmental impact.
Working with the local populations where they operate to educate and implement valuable environmental strategies, positively impacting individuals.
Implementing physical systems or wide reaching initiatives, aiming to minimise their environmental impact and helping them to operate sustainably.
Striving to protect the environment including plants, animals and the landscape through preservation projects.
Their top priorities for water treatment in 2020:
- Sanctuary Chief’s Camp will implement a new wetland system for further natural purification of waste water.
- At Sanctuary Swala, a new water purification system which is already under construction will be completed.
- In early 2020, a new water purification system, (similar to the system being built at Sanctuary Swala) will be constructed at Sanctuary Kusini.
